The Course
Tom Fazio designed, 18 hole Golf Course. St Ives is considered one of the finest courses in the Johns Creek area. It is challenging, yet Member friendly, with broad fairways and a geography that makes it comfortable to walk the course at your leisure.
Originally constructed in 1988, the course has been maintained meticulously and renovated to keep the course in top condition. Major renovations: In 2009, a major renovation to install a state-of-the-art drainage and irrigation system, plus a stunning redesign and expansion of all tee boxes; the tee box acreage was more than doubled via this project (from two to nearly five acres). In 2013, we underwent a successful greens transition replacing our Bent greens with Mini Verde Bermuda greens, the current top choice of greens for all premier clubs. Our greens are in pristine condition.
From the champ tees it offers a real challenge to any golfer, featuring 7003 yards of lush fairways, guarded by 82 manicured sand traps. Each tee offers a new stunning vista. The elevation on our #1 tee is the 2nd highest vantage point in North Fulton County.
The Golf Course was carved out of fully wooded area, and much of the topography was left untouched, adding to the Fazio challenge. A creek meanders through the course that feeds three beautiful lakes and keeps the course in top-notch condition year round.
A manicured, two-tiered driving range is located directly behind the Clubhouse, along with a lush putting green and sand trap bunker practice. This coveted practice area enjoys the view to the back of the Clubhouse, our landscaped outdoor dining patio, and two waterfalls, making for a stunning backdrop.
